Our Story

Colton and Madie first met while attending college at Montana State University-Northern in 2019, while Colton was working towards his degree in diesel and agriculture, and Madie was working on pre-requisites for nursing.

Colton first caught Madie’s eye at a scholarship event at the college.

To this day, Colton knows the exact outfit Madie wore the day of the scholarship event, so it’s safe to say the two were drawn to one another!

Our First Date

The couple’s first date was getting ice cream at Dairy Queen and driving around in Colton’s green Ford pickup. It was easy for the two to stay connected after this as they hit it off with many other dates to follow, including shooting bow and arrows, cards with friends, kayaking, and spending time at Colton’s ranch. Colton was drawn to Madie for her humble, cheerful, and driven personality and Madie was drawn to Colton for his hardworking, well-mannered, considerate, and ambitious personality.

The Proposal

Over 4 years later and many memories in between, the day came where Madie had the best trip to the barn she’d ever have.

After just waking up from night shift, rolling out of bed, Madie jumped into the driver side of the truck to give Colton a kiss and head out to feed the baby calf. Little did she know Colton held a diamond in his pocket!

Before Madie knew it, Colton was on one knee and the baby calf, now known as Bella, was standing with ear tags reading “Will You Marry Me?

After the proposal, the two went and got ice cream together and enjoyed dinner with some of their closest friends to celebrate.

Now, Colton and Madie are working towards building a home in Cascade.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you at our destination wedding ceremony and vacation in December of 2024!
